There was Alvin and The Chipmunk in 1958, The Archies in 68, Josie and The Pussycats in 1970, and Jem and The Holograms in 85, and probably a couple others. But these guys came out a few months before Gorillaz, and they're a virtual teen dance pop outfit named Prozzäk.
